Experience India One Plate At A Time
Experience India One Plate At A Time
About Us
The Heritage Plates is a family-run inhousedining and cultural experience hosted by a mother and her two daughters in the heart of Delhi. What began as a love for cooking, storytelling, and hosting has grown into a space where people from all over the world come together to eat, learn, celebrate, and connect. Here, you are not a customer, you are our guest. We believe food is more than just nourishment. It is memory, culture, and emotion served on a plate.
From the moment we welcome you with traditional garlands, a tikka, and aarti, followed by hot pakoras and chai, you’re not a guest, you’re part of our extended family where we turn moments into memories. This isn’t just dining. It’s connection, storytelling, and belonging- served fresh.
About Us
The Heritage Plates is a family-run, in-home dining and cultural experience, lovingly hosted by Prity Bhatt and her daughters, Tanushka and Muskaan, in the heart of Delhi since 2015. What began as a simple passion for cooking, storytelling, and welcoming people into their home has grown into a soulful gathering place for travelers and locals from across the world.
Here, food is more than nourishment it is memory, culture, and emotion, thoughtfully served on every plate.
From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed with traditional garlands, a tika, and an aarti, followed by the comforting aroma of hot pakoras and chai. At The Heritage Plates, you are never just a guest; you become part of an extended family, where shared meals turn into lasting memories.

Lighting diyas, making rangoli, sharing sweets, and listening to childhood memories of the festival felt intimate and real. It was beautiful to be included in something so personal.

I’ve taken cooking classes before, but this was completely different. Learning to cook in a real home, understanding spices, and hearing personal family stories made Indian food finally make sense to me. It was calm, welcoming, and deeply special.

This experience gave me insight into everyday life, family values, and food traditions in a way no museum or tour could. I felt respected, included, and completely at ease.

We drank chai in the kitchen, talked about where we came from, and cooked together. We laughed, talked about food, festivals, and life. When I finally left, I realised I had learned how deeply hospitality, family, and food are connected in India
